I am a Ukrainian American sociocultural anthropologist of Japan, specializing in family, grassroots, and societal responses to nuclear and other disasters. I love teaching language alongside history, culture and society, and textual and ethnographic analysis. You will find me teaching in the Core Liberal Arts Curriculum (Conversations, Core Ukraine, Core Japan; Challenges of Modernity in Core Curricula Past), Japanese language, Asian Studies, and Russian and Eurasian Studies.
