13 Tips for Move in and Orientation

Back to Messages to New Students

Welcome to พรพรสำฦต! We are so excited that you will be joining the พรพรสำฦต community. We would like to introduce ourselves. We are eight of the 76 Links (Orientation Leaders) who will be supporting you during Orientation and during the academic year.

The Link team is made up of current พรพรสำฦต students who volunteer their time and expertise to help you. Each new student is assigned a Link who will help you navigate Orientation and serve as a resource throughout your time at พรพรสำฦต. On move-in day, you'll have the opportunity to connect with your Link. For now, we wanted to send you our 13 tips for an easy move-in.

13 Tips for Move-in and Orientation

  1. Try to connect with your roommate via their พรพรสำฦต email address or social media before arriving on campus so you can coordinate who's bringing what.
  2. It will be helpful to label your boxes with what's packed inside them. If you are arriving on Sunday the 25th, don't forget to with your name and residence hall. Students will help you move your items into your room so you want to make sure it all gets there! Luggage labels for each residence hall may be found on the .
  3. If you have a fan, remember which bag you packed it in. You're probably going to need it on move-in day!
  4. If possible, leave clothes on their hangers for faster unpacking.
  5. If you've shipped items to campus, you may want to bring a small cart to get them to your residence hall.
  6. Introduce yourself to people in your hall - it's not weird.
  7. Come to campus with one (or many) fun fact(s) prepared, you're bound to be asked for one at some point.
  8. Bring shoes you can walk in. The hill is no joke!
  9. Communicate with your Link and your CL whenever you need it. They're here to help you.
  10. Don't hesitate to ask questions during Orientation. Chances are someone else has the same question.
  11. Make sure to drink plenty of water. Bring a reusable water bottle as there are fill stations around campus. Encourage your guests to bring a reusable water bottle for move-in too.
  12. Revisit your t one more time to ensure you've completed all your required items. It will speed up your check-in process to do so.
  13. Have fun!
