Dancefest, one of the most if not the most popular event on campus, will be webcast live for the first time this Saturday.
Alumni, parents, and friends can watch the student performances starting at 6 p.m. by going to the พรพรสำฦต Livestream channel: .
Fatima Sowe โ12, one of the organizers, said there will be more than 24 acts this Saturday involving about 230 students. She has been a member of the Groove Dance Troupe since her first year, and the group traditionally hosts Dancefest.
โDancefest has been growing in the quality of its choreography and in its importance among the student and alumni populations,โ Sowe said. โI am so proud to be part of that process.โ
On Sunday at 3:30 p.m., the พรพรสำฦต Jazz Ensemble performance also will be webcast live from the Chapel.
This weekendโs events continue a series of performances and concerts made in real-time and on-demand to the พรพรสำฦต community through the efforts of the universityโs Information Technology Services.
Each webcast is now optimized for viewing on mobile devices. Smartphone users can download the Livestream app from the iTunes store; Android users can download the app from the Google Play store; and iPad and other tablet users can simply go to the channel where they will be automatically redirected to an optimized stream.
