2021 Constitution Day Debate Highlighted Internet Immunity Issues Now Before the Supreme Court
In February, the Supreme Court of the United States is hearing oral arguments on the scope of the immunity granted to Internet companies by โSection 230.โ This immunity, granted by Congress in 1996 โ two years before Google โ is sometimes referred to as โthe 26 words that created the Internet.โ The Courtโs decisions on the two cases before it could dramatically reshape the Internet environment.
One of the important resources supporting the Center for Freedom and Western Civilization's mission as forum for civic debate and scholarly research is the financial support of generous donors.
